Quick Tips for Monarch Seniors:
  • Before you can fill out the FAFSA form you need to create a FAFSA ID. FAFSA ID's can take up to 3 days to process so log into StudentAid.gov/fsaid to create your ID today.
  • Do not use your BVSD email to create your ID. You will need to log into this email after high school and your BVSD email will no longer be active.
  • The FAFSA application opens on October 1 of your Senior year. Apply at fafsa.gov.
  • Funds can run out, so apply as soon as possible!
  • It's free to file, so watch out for scams.
  • The FAFSA application deadlines vary by school, so be sure to check their deadlines.
