Local Scholarships


Boulder Rotary Club Scholarship (due 3/13/2020)
8-12 scholarships. Awarded to seniors graduating from BVSD High Schools, to be used for tuition or fees for the recipient's freshman year at an accredited COLORADO college or university (including community college). The awards are made based on projected ability to succeed in college and scholastic, volunteer and extra-curricular activities during high school. Financial need may also be considered

Diane Hopp Water Scholarship (due 3/16/2020)
$2000. Applicants must be high schools seniors interested in western water issues and planning to attend a public institution of higher education in Colorado.

Human Health Care Scholarship (due 3/20/2020, 4:00pm)
Amount varies, up to $4000. For high school seniors in BVSD, or students with ties to Boulder Community Health, attending an accredited Colorado college or university, and pursuing a career in a health care related field.

Independent Order of Odd Fellows Boulder Scholarship (due 4/1/2020)
$1000, renewable for 5 years. Applicant must be graduating from a BVSD high school, and demonstrate stong commitment to their community and personal exellene.

Centaurus/Monarch Community Scholarship Fund (due 4/3/2020)
$500-$4000. Applicants must be graduating seniors at Monarch or Centaurus High School, and there is no restriction on which college students are attending. A $2000 scholarship will be awarded specifically to a student entering the trades.

Monarch Booster Club Scholarship (due 4/6/2020)
Five $1000 scholarships, awarded to graduating senior who will attend a 2 or 4-year institution or trade school in the fall of 2020. Must be in good academic standing and have participated in at least one club, sport, or extracurricular activity at Monarch High School.

Boulder Valley Education Association (due 4/13/2020)
Varies, but renewable. Scholarships for graduating BVSD HS seniors who are attending college to become an educator. Scholarship award amounts are variable at the discretion of the BVEA Scholarship Committee and are based on need and merit.

Impact on Education Dennie and Donna Wise Scholarship (due 4/20/2020)
$1,000 per year for 2 years. Awarded to graduates of BVSD High Schools who choose to pursue a vocational, technical, or community college education (full or part time).

Heidi Howard Photography Arts Scholarship (due 4/20/2020)
$250. Applicants must be graduating as a senior from Monarch High School during the current school year. The applicant must include a brief essay on how the arts have influenced their life with a supplementary digital portfolio for their particular discipline. Must attend a four year university, community college, or art school with intended art major declaration.

YMCA of Northern Colorado College Scholarships (due 5/1/2020)
$500, $2,500. Available to all currently enrolled high school seniors who have had a significant experience or connection with a YMCA. Scholarship may be used at any accredited institution of learning, including schools with 4-year, 2-year, trade or vocational degree programs.

$1000. Available to incoming or returning nursing student in any secondary education institution nursing program.

Leo Hill Boulder Rotary Club Vocational Scholarship (due 3/20/2019)
Amount Varies. Scholarship is exclusively for attendees of community college or trade school, in or out of state. If you plan to attend a 4-year school, please apply to Boulder Rotary Club’s Residential Scholarship.

Hazel M (Penny) Huckabay Memorial Scholarship (due 4/1/19)
Amount varies. Must demonstrate financial need, be a graduating senior of a BVSD school, and reside in Louisville, CO (not Superior).

Mary Powers/Granny Goose Scholarships (due 4/19/19)
$500. Scholarship will be awarded to two Monarch HS seniors who meet the following criteria: Experience overcoming adversity, character, Social responsibility, Leadership, Work Ethic, Academic Achievement.

Boulder Luncheon Optimist Club Felton Scholarship (due 4/19/19)
$2000. Scholarship awarded to graduating senior who plans to pursue a higher education course of study related to the service of youth, such as teacher, coaching, or counseling.

Premier Credit Union - Rudy Sumpter Scholarship (due 5/10/19)
Amount Varies. For members of Premier Credit Union (you can join!), who are spring high school graduates with GPA 2.5 or higher. Must already be accepted at college or technical school in the US, and must begin school as a full time freshman in the fall of graduating year, with a minimum of 12 credit hours per quarter.
