8th Grade Transition Night - Tuesday, February 18 6-8 pm
ATTENTION PARENTS and 8th GRADE STUDENTS
CLASS OF 2024
Plan now to attend with your son/daughter to learn about course selection for their 9th grade classes.
Tuesday evening, February 19, beginning at 6:00 pm, you are invited to attend a curriculum information program for current 8th graders who will be attending Monarch High School next year as 9th grade students.
Students and parents will have the opportunity to learn about Monarch High School’s curriculum, 9th grade requirements, and graduation requirements. Department representatives from Language Arts, Social Studies, Math, Science, Physical Education, World Language, Art, Music, Family & Consumer Sciences, Informational Technology, Design & Engineering Technology, Business and Special Education will be on hand to answer specific questions. Please bring the registration sheet that your son/daughter received during the high school visit in late January or February.
The time schedule is as follows:
6:00-6:45 Last Name L - Z
Presentation in Auditorium*
*if you arrive after the start of the presentation, please attend the next session
6:00-8:00 Visit with Departments in Main Hallway (alternating with the auditorium presentation)
7:00-7:45 Last Name A - K

This year, the Monarch counseling department is going to Louisville Middle, Monarch K-8 and Eldorado K-8 to do course selection for all eighth grade students using the online Infinite Campus program. We will be at Louisville Middle on February 26, Eldorado K-8 on February 25, and Monarch K-8 on February 19.
Please remind your son/daughter that the following items are needed to be able to register online: course selection sheet that is filled out and their user name and password to access Infinite Campus (middle school counselors will have a list of user names and passwords).
Note: If your son/daughter is unable to attend the registration day at your middle school, the completed course selection form needs to be turned into the middle school counselor by March 6.
